API and SDK

To facilitate any integration of the products JayCut provides access to the API and PHP SDK. Access is given completely free, making usage suitable for any project regardless of size.

Developer resources

JayCut strives to develop and make available all resources which will facilitate an integration. We want to reduce the time required and increase the possibilities. Right now this means offering an API and a PHP SDK. In the future you can expect to see an enhanced API, additional SDKs and modules for major CMSs.

The PHP SDK

The PHP SDK is created to facilitate interaction with the API for those of you who have a site built in PHP. It will be launched during February 2010 so stay tuned.

Get Started

The API

In the beginning of February 2010 the public JayCut API will be made available. The API will expose all functionality required to perform an integration of the editing tool and all related services on your site.

Exposed functionality includes:

Embed the editing tool on your site
Authorization of users
Upload of media, tied to users
Management of preset content
Streaming of video
Export of edited videos, out of the JayCut system

The API will continue to be actively developed in order to provide the most powerful and easily usable web video editor. In order to achieve that we appreciate any and all feedback of challenges you may have encountered when performing an integration.
