The team

Meet the JayCut team, a group of Swedes sharing a passion for ground breaking web technology and interesting business opportunities. By combining academia with a lot of hands on experience (and too much coffee) we are working towards a common goal — to change how the world interacts with online video.

Gustav Broberg – Head of development

All work: Gustav has been working with designing, and continuously redesigning, JayCut's software platform since the company's birth. Though he enjoys drawing scruffy component diagrams on coffee-stained pieces of paper, he thinks the most rewarding part of his job is to put ideas into code and see how others benefit from the result.

Some play: When away from the keyboard Gustav likes to read thick books on typography and 20th century philosophy. To stay in shape he practices long-distance running with the current goal of running 10 kilometers in under 45 minutes.

What else: To stay true to his beliefs, Gustav tries to give back to the open source ecosystem whenever possible. This includes anything from writing code for free software projects to producing illustrations for Wikipedia articles.

What else: Keeps buying a lot of mechanical tools like wrenches, angle grinders and laser levels that never gets used but "might come in handy some day!"
